The office we needed in Door County
Door County Coworking began with a practical problem: two local business owners needed somewhere better than the basement to work. We figured we probably weren't the only ones.
It started as an office for two
Chris Schmitz and Corey Reyment each moved their families to Door County during the pandemic. Their work could move with them, but a good place to do it could not. There were plenty of days working from home, competing with kids, noise, and everything else that makes a basement a less-than-ideal office.
At first, they were simply looking for a place to share. Then they kept hearing the same need from other remote workers, business owners, and people trying to spend more time up north. The idea grew into a small coworking space in Fish Creek: dependable internet, a proper place to focus, and other people around when you want them.

We needed this place, too
Chris Schmitz
Software engineer · Entrepreneur
Chris builds software for a living and works remotely from Door County. With his wife, Pam, he is also behind Moonsail Vacations, which Pam runs day to day. He wanted a real place to focus and people nearby when remote life got too quiet—so he helped build one. Off hours, he is usually on the trails in Peninsula or out with his family around the county.
Corey Reyment
Real estate entrepreneur · Community builder
Corey and his wife, Carrie, founded Fox Cities Home Buyers in 2016, and Corey also leads Wisconsin Discount Properties. Building teams that can work without everyone being in the same room is a big part of what made the move to Door County possible. Here in Fish Creek, Carrie runs Peninsula Roots.
Why we built it
Professional Workspace
Escape the basement office. A professional environment designed for productivity and focus.
Community Connection
Remote life can be lonely. Connect with other professionals, entrepreneurs, and remote workers.
High-Speed Internet
Reliable, fast internet that handles video calls, big file transfers, and everything else.
Strategic Location
In the heart of Fish Creek with easy parking and walking access to downtown and the waterfront.
Small, simple, and useful
This is not a giant coworking campus. It is a comfortable place where you can sit down, get online, and finish your work so you can get back outside and enjoy Door County.
We keep listening to the people who use it. That includes year-round residents, seasonal neighbors, and visitors who just need a dependable place for the day. We will keep improving the space based on what they actually need.
